With my personal thanks to the owners for allowing the use of their super Lodge. Pre Games there is always much discussion about how everything will come together and there was concern about using a caravan site as it hadnÕt been tried and tested before. It is therefore testament to your efforts and investment (including the excellent facilities for the small children) that without exception, the consensus is, the Isle of Wight was the best Island Games ever. Athletes enjoyed their own space, own cooking facilities and the on site bar, etc. So much so that a few that had chosen to book into other accommodation, visited Cheverton Copse and left feeling envious of our Team environment to which you had all contributed. We are now preparing for the Commonwealth Youth Games in the Isle of Man which takes place between the 7th and 13th September (just weeks away) so lots going on and letÕs hope it is just as good. The Booth Family | We have just returned home after another fantastic week at Cheverton Copse! Once again (this was our third visit) we have had an amazing holiday - and much of that is down to the location of, and staff at, Cheverton Copse. It is so close to all the key facilities (especially the supermarket for freshly baked bread and the wonderful beaches at Sandown and Shanklin). The site itself is well kept, clean and constantly being improved (the new children's play area was a hit this year). And finally, but perhaps most importantly, the staff were, once again, hugely helpful and the entertainment in the evenings (both for the children and adults) was top notch!
